GrillMyPitch ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

  • Account Information: When you sign up using Google Sign-In, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account

  • Pitch Decks: Any pitch deck files you upload to our platform

  • Age Confirmation: Your confirmation that you are 18 years of age or older

  • Communication Data: Any messages you send to our support team at grillmypitch@gmail.com


1.2 Information Automatically Collected

  • AI VC Call Recordings: Audio files and transcripts of your sessions with the AI venture capital agent

  • AI Analysis Data: Investor readiness scores, pitch analysis, fact-checking results, and other AI-generated feedback

  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our service, including features used, credits consumed, and session timestamps

  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, and referring URLs

  • Cookie Data: Information collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Cookie Policy section below)


2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process payments through LemonSqueezy

  • Understand how users interact with GrillMyPitch

  • Improve our AI models and service quality

2.4 Future AI Training (Not Currently Active)

We do not currently use your data to train AI models. In the future, we may use anonymized and encrypted versions of your pitch decks, call recordings, and transcripts to improve our AI capabilities. Before implementing this:

  • We will update this Privacy Policy

  • We will notify all users via email and in-app banner

  • You will have the option to opt out by emailing grillmypitch@gmail.com

  • All data used for training will be fully anonymized (removing company names, founder names, specific metrics, and other identifying information)


3. How We Share Your Information


3.1 Third-Party Service Providers

We share your information with trusted third-party services that help us operate GrillMyPitch:

  • Google/Gemini: AI analysis and processing of your pitch decks and generating written feedback

  • ElevenLabs: Voice AI technology for AI VC call sessions

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Cloud hosting and infrastructure

  • Firebase: Database storage and authentication

  • Google Analytics: Usage analytics and service optimization

  • LemonSqueezy: Payment processing

These providers may process your data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.


3.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to:

  • Valid legal processes (subpoenas, court orders)

  • Governmental or regulatory requests

  • Protection of our rights, property, or safety

  • Protection of users or the public from harm or illegal activity


3.3 Business Transfers

If GrillMyPitch is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the new entity. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.


3.4 What We Don't Share

We do NOT:

  • Sell your personal information to third parties

  • Share your pitch decks or AI VC call recordings with anyone outside GrillMyPitch

  • Share your data with real venture capital firms or investors

  • Use your data for advertising or marketing purposes beyond our own service

  • Currently share anonymized data or aggregated insights publicly (though we reserve the right to do so in the future with notice)


4. Data Retention


4.1 Automatic Deletion

  • Pitch Decks: Stored for one (1) year after upload, then automatically deleted

  • AI VC Call Recordings and Transcripts: Stored for one (1) year after the call, then automatically deleted

  • AI Analysis and Feedback: Retained as part of your account history and can be copied/downloaded by you at any time


4.2 Account Data

If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information from our active systems within 30 days. Some information may be retained in backup systems for up to 90 days for disaster recovery purposes, after which it is permanently deleted.


4.3 Legal Retention

We may retain certain information for longer periods if required by law or to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or protect our legal rights.


5. Your Rights and Choices


5.1 Access and Download

You can access and download your AI VC call recordings, transcripts, and analysis at any time through your GrillMyPitch account interface.


5.2 Data Deletion

To request early deletion of your data (before the automatic 1-year deletion), email us at grillmypitch@gmail.com with your request. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.


5.3 Data Export

To export your data in a machine-readable format, email us at grillmypitch@gmail.com. We will provide your data within 30 days.


5.4 Opt-Out of Future AI Training

When we begin using data for AI training (which is not currently active), you can opt out by emailing grillmypitch@gmail.com with "Opt-Out AI Training" in the subject line. We will honor your request within 30 days.


5.5 Marketing Communications

You can opt out of promotional emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email or by emailing grillmypitch@gmail.com. Note that you will still receive essential

service-related communications.


6. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest

  • Secure cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform)

  • Access controls and authentication

  • Regular security assessments

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use GrillMyPitch at your own risk.


7. International Data Transfers

GrillMyPitch is operated globally, and your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your country.

By using GrillMyPitch, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate.


8. Children's Privacy

GrillMyPitch is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

If we discover that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete that information immediately. If you believe we have collected information from someone under 18, please contact us at grillmypitch@gmail.com.
